Zum dritten Mal machten sich 11 Stromschnelle auf den Weg in die Schwimmhalle Halle-Neustadt, um ihre Paddelkräfte unter Beweis zu stellen. Unterstützt von je drei Frauen und Männern des Team 300 gingen in der Kategorie Fun Mixed zwei Boote an den Start: Die Stromschnellen und Die 300 Teamschnellen, sowie in der Kategorie Fun Open mit der Männerrunde ein reines Männerboot. Alle Teams bestritten je drei teilweise hart umkämpfte Vorläufe, aus denen die Finals besetzt wurden. Zwischenzeitlich brach eine Sitzbank des Rennbootes wohl unter dem Kampfgewicht der Mühlsteine, so dass zeitweise die Teams Rücken an Rücken starteten, bis das Ersatzboot hereingehievt wurde. Dies und diverse Kenterungen bescherten uns am Ende über eine Stunde Zeitverzug aber auch eine deutlich verkürzte Siegerehrung. Die Fun Mixed Kategorie fuhr geteilte Endläufe als Fun Mixed und Fun Fun Mixed aus, so dass das eigentlich erfolgreichere Stromschnellen-Team in der Fun Mixed Klasse nur noch um Platz 5 fahren konnte und sich diesen auch sicherte. Die 300 Teamschnellen als Vorlauf-Siebter konnten sich dann im Finale um den Fun Fun Mixed Pokal Gold sichern. Das Männerteam erkämpfte sich teilweise bis unter Wasser drei Vorlaufsiege und musste sich nur im Finale den Recken von ProOst geschlagen geben.
